READ BEFORE VISITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A car I haven't had very long going in for its first service. Took it in for oil & filter service. Also requested they take a look at the old oil and inspect for debris and any metal filings as I was looking to keep out for possible wear on the timing chain. They told me all this was done. Shortly afterwards my engine suffered a catastrophic failure. It was taken to another garage, where they found a contributing, and possible main factor to the failure was the thick, black, sludgy, stinking oil that was riddled with metal filings. As an engineer myself, I could tell the oil had not been changed in a long, long time. The same remarks came from the mechanics at the garage. I have contacted Collin Edwards about this. They have been incredibly abrupt, rude and have denied any wrong doing. They have told me they have evidence proving it was done correctly but did not show me. They are still sending me invoices for the full amount. Something I am not willing to do at current, given I have just paid 3000+ for a replacement engine. Not at least until I see good evidence they did their job correctly.
